Description

Knight's Tour is a classic chess puzzle game. The objective of the game is to move the knight to every square on the board without touching the same square twice. The game records your time as well as the number of moves you take. A great puzzle when you're stuck at the dentists office, waiting at the DMV or just want a brain teaser to take a break from work! Also a great way to teach strategy to kids who may not have the patience for a full chess game.

What's New in Version 1.2

* Fixed bugs
* Added ability to shake to clear board
* Added ability to double tap to undo

slightly tedious puzzle, not for learning chess strategy

:
You choose starting position, app shows icon at each visited square. This app allows a square to be revisited, but does not show a count of visited squares (the displayed count is only for moves). Since the chess board has 64 squares, nobody will win with 37 or 61 moves.

Neither a knight's tour nor the 8 queens problem is very good for learning chess strategy.
Practice knight moves in a chess context: put a pawn on the board, put a knight in a corner, and capture the pawn; then start the knight from each of the other corners and compare number of moves until capture. The next level might begin with 2 pawns side-by-side.

iPad Problem?

:
I loved this on the iPhone, but it has either locked up on my iPad or else it simply doesn't work on the iPad. There appears to be no way to reset the game to play again. Shaking the iPad does nothing, and there is no "reset" button of any kind within the game itself.

Any help, developers?
